Getting from the airport

BCN to city center: 37 minutes by rail (Aeroport -Maçanet-Massanes). Trains run every 30 minutes. Service runs 05:00 to 23:30. Skip the taxi unless your connection is under 5 hours.

What to do in Barcelona

The stops worth making: Sagrada Família, La Rambla, Park Güell, Barceloneta beach. Rated above 4.4: Basílica de la Sagrada Família (4.8), Park Güell (4.4), Plaça de Catalunya (4.5), Casa Batlló (4.7), Mercat de la Boqueria (4.5). You do not need the full tourist circuit. Pick two and commit.

Barcelona is visa-free for US passports. No application, no fee. The border process at BCN is standard. Budget 30 minutes.

How long do you need
