Getting from the airport
VIE to city center: 25 minutes by rail (S7). Trains run every 30 minutes. Service runs 05:00 to 23:30. Skip the taxi unless your connection is under 5 hours.
What to do in Vienna
The stops worth making: Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral, Naschmarkt, Vienna Philharmonic. Rated above 4.4: Belvedere Palace (4.7), St. Stephen's Cathedral (4.7), Prater (4.6), Hofburg (4.7), Hundertwasser House (4.5). You do not need the full tourist circuit. Pick two and commit.
